can i paint silver cabinet hardware to get the oil rubbed bronze look?

Updating my cookhouse and want oil rubbed bronze handles and pulls without the cost of replacing. Can i decorate make merry or refinish the exsiting silver ones to get the look? What materials/products/colors are suggested?

No, you can't. The bronze ironmongery is made of a different material than the nickel hardware you have now. If you want new, buy a few at a yet until you have enough, then replace them all at once. Hope this helps.

....should my Nautical galley cabinet hardware also be oil rubbed bronze? or can it be something else? Should my kitchen sink faucet be oil rubbed bronze? or can it be something else?
