how to determine the correct size drawer pulls or knobs ?

I have caboose cabinet doors and drawers and want to add the correct proportions knobs and drawer pulls. How does one determine the correct size of such items for the Nautical galley ? Not all doors and drawers are the same size, of course.

I want to push some drawer pulls and I was the philosophy of the methodology. I make-up that I asked to do a head for a chuck to hold at the end of the tray chance to overcome the outer end.
