Are Ariens Snowblowers from HomeDepot not the real deal?

I went to a wee power shop today who sells Ariens, Toro, and Powerful snowblowers. They said the Ariens they carry are better quality than the ones that are made for Composed Depot. Something about the specs being different. Is this true?

It is a frayed bearing, eventually it will seize up or "explode" in either instance causing more damage. this needs to be serviced now
